Missions & Outreach

Supporting and serving our communities.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Global Missions
We give ongoing financial support to missionaries and missions agencies serving and reaching into places like Brazil, Myanmar, China, India, Nepal, Chuuk Islands, and more. We organize short-term mission trips in connection with those we support and look forward to having more opportunities for high schoolers and adults alike.
Local Partners
We support many strategic partners in Southern Arizona. We give financial and material gifts to help food banks, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Springboard Home (fighting urban drug epidemic), Hands of Hope (crisis pregnancy center), and more. A large part of this help is raised as a part of our annual Christmas Offering.
Outreach Events
Our Missions & Outreach team organizes quarterly service opportunities for the whole church. Many of our small groups get involved in hands-on help for our local partners. For example, we fill backpacks for our local schools, make baskets of supplies for new moms, or collect items for our local food bank. Watch our calendar of events for upcoming opportunities!
WE ORGANIZE TWO SPECIAL CHURCH-WIDE EFFORTS EACH YEAR, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD IN THE FALL AND COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL IN THE SPRING.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Long before shoeboxes arrive in more than 100 countries, volunteer National Leadership Teams train pastors and community leaders who want to share the message of the Gospel and bless children. The leaders learn how to host child-friendly outreach events, and how to implement The Greatest Journey follow-up discipleship program. Pastors around the world host shoebox distributions in places where people may not know Christ and invite them to follow Him. Other churches use the boxes as resources for outreach in orphanages and other at-risk areas.

Compassion International Child Sponsorship

Child sponsorship is critical. In a world where more than a billion children live on less than U.S. $2 per day, child sponsorship, connecting one child with one sponsor, is the most strategic way to end child poverty. Through monthly financial support, prayer, and letter writing, sponsors invest directly in the lives of children living in extreme poverty. The children attend church-based child development centers where they receive life-changing opportunities that would otherwise be out of their reach, and which build on, add to and extend their school lessons.
